Coloration: Black and grey plumage. The head, wings, tail, and legs are black, while the body is grey.

Habitat range: The common crow is widespread in Eurasia (including Greenland), North America, and North Africa from the Arctic coasts to subtropical regions and the northern edge of the tropics. It ascends mountains up to 5000–8000 m. In Russia, it is absent only in the northernmost peninsulas (Yamal, Taymyr, Gydan) and most Arctic islands.

Diet: The crow’s diet includes insects, fish, frogs, worms, and the eggs of other birds. Some species in flocks also attack small animals.
